Aereco develops innovative ventilation solutions for residential and office buildings with a key concept, the modulation of airflow rates according to the needs. With this principle associated to specific technologies, Aereco demand-controlled ventilation systems fully meet the Building current challenges with regard to energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
Aereco offers several lines of products that can be implemented in various systems, from natural and hybrid ventilation to mechanical exhaust and heat recovery ventilation.
The group, whose headquarters and factory are located in France in Marne-la-Vallée, is present in most countries in Europe as well as in Asia and in the USA, through subsidiaries and a wide network of distributors. Founded in 1983, Aereco Group includes today more than 350 employees.
In 1983, Pierre Jardinier, a former engineer at CSTB (French Building Research Institute) was in charge of the air quality research laboratory SERVA. With two partners, he designed the first humidity sensitive extract unit that would ultimately lead to the development of Aereco as a company, from then a small basic workshop to the present 18,000 m² facility that currently producing several millions of components per year.
Convinced by the quality of their invention, these pioneers achieved great success. The humidity sensitive ventilation became more and more popular, first by the EDF energy-saving “Vivrelec” label in 1995, then by the French Thermal Regulation RT2000. The humidity sensitive ventilation has today become the referent system of the current regulation in France.
The second video in this series looks at four common ventilation systems found in homes: natural ventilation with intermittent fans, passive stack, mechanical extract ventilation and MVHR. This light and…
A run through of the basic principles of ventilation, its link to building performance, indoor air quality and why it’s important. A simple no fuss explanation of ventilation and its basic principles.
"There is growing recognition that appropriate and correctly installed / commissioned ventilation isn’t simply ‘a nice to have’ but a prerequisite. It is encouraging to see manufacturers, such as Aereco, responding to this challenge and providing the comprehensive approach necessary to deliver systems that really perform for householders."
Simon joined Aereco in 2010, having worked in the renewable energy technology sector during the boom. Since coming on board with Aereco, Simon has helped introduce and establish what was an unfamiliar technology in Ireland & the UK - demand control on ventilation systems - into a major player, while advocating consistently for higher standards.
Having served his time as a consulting engineer with RN Murphy & Martin Buckley & Associates from 2000 to 2010, Colum joined Aereco in 2010.
A versatile engineer with many years’ experience in a broad range of engineering, energy and technical customer facing roles, Justin comes from a solid engineering background, developing business across different areas through building good relations with customers.
Delivering ventilation that works.
Ventilation that secures good indoor air quality while being energy efficient?
That’s quiet and reliable?
Ventilation that has the capacity to respond to changes in its environment?Ventilation that works?
This is the goal of Aereco. It’s the basis on which Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV) was founded. And it’s the principle behind the Aereco Quality Standard.
The Aereco Quality Standard is more than just superlatives and marketing. It’s a process that practically engages the supply chain and secures the installed performance of the system.
• A technology with capacity as a principle of design;
• Free ventilation design and advice on or off site regardless of who you are, where you are and what size your project is;
• Free ancillary certification of design and commissioning under BCAR (Rep Irl. Only);
• Certified Partners in a contracted agreement to install systems to our best practice;
• Commissioning of systems in house by Aereco or one of our certified partners;
• Digital Aereco Quality Standard Commissioning certificate that is controlled by us and only available through us or one of our partners;
• Free filter replacement where necessary under the warranty period of the fan;
• Where a system has the Aereco Quality Standard certificate, significant extension of the warranty to 5 years.
There are no costs to the Aereco Quality Standard, but a requirement to engage with us from design through to commissioning. The Aereco Quality Standard Certificates and associated extensions of support and warranties are only provided with full systems and full engagement from start to finish.
The supply and installation of a full Aereco System by one of our certified partners.
Supply directly from us only – with installation support and commissioning by us.
Our certified partners have considerable experience in installing our systems and have proven time and again to deliver very high standards of workmanship and professionalism. They are also in contracted agreement to install our systems to best practice.
If you do not use them we will support you and your team in achieving the standards required but if the installation or systems does not meet our standards, the Aereco Quality Certificate will not be issued and associated support and extensions of warranty will not be available.
We believe it is possible to deliver ventilation that works, every time.
But it requires a joined up approach where everyone take responsibility and that includes the manufacturer. DCV provides a unique opportunity to deliver a system with the capacity to meet the ever changing demands on ventilation. But it can only do that if it’s designed right, installed right and commissioned to prove it is right. The Aereco Quality Standard does exactly that.
